We hope the holidays were able to give you the time you needed with family and friends, and a chance to celebrate all the blessings in your life.

Hard to believe we are already into a brand new year! This month we have a lot of exciting things to be focusing on. FIrst, be sure to get your orders in for tickets to the Bull's Game, they must be in by JAN 12th! This end of the year performance is a favorite of ours and so much fun!!!

This Saturday, January 7th from 11:30am - 1:30pm , we have a Heart Adventure at Feed My Starving Children (see their thank you video to the volunteers below)

and this Sunday, January 8th, the Senior Team has a competition and Grayslake North!

We missed the girls so much and are looking forward to seeing their smiling faces again!

Dear Premier Poms Parents and Teams,

The youth team had one of their best performances yesterday at Stagg High School! The girls smiled and did a fantastic job and looked confident in their routine. Way to go youth team girls! Gaining experience, getting comfortable and confident at these competitions is our goal for our youth team. Great effort!

Juniors earned a 2nd place in Pom and 4th place in Hip Hop at the Stagg competition! This was a great achievement! Especially since they haven't known the hip hop routine as long as the poms routine. They worked super hard before the competition to sharpen their routine and it paid off. We couldn't be more proud of you Juniors!
The Senior team received a 1st place rating for their Pom routine and a 1st for their Kick routine at the Huntley High School competition yesterday afternoon! They had strong scores and performed the routines which actually exceeded our expectations.

Congrats to all the girls and to our wonderful coaches!!!!!

Barrington Giving Day ~ Heart Adventure

On Friday, the Premier Girls donated their time to assist in Barrington Giving Day. I think it is fair to say that we were blown away by the amount of donations collected. It was an honor to be a part of this incredible event, proving to us once again that giving is so much more fulfilling than receiving. Thank you to everyone who was able to help out!

Thank you to those who were able to make it to the Alden Christmas performance this weekend! The residents loved seeing the girls dance and hearing them sing Christmas carols. It was great watching many of the seniors sing along!

A special thank you to Mrs. Hatherly, Celine's mom from the youth team, for bringing the song sheets, music and leading thegirls. We appreciated your help! Thank you to Mrs. Albrecht, Brittany's mom from the senior team, for singing a beautiful
Christmas carol, Oh Holy Night! It was truly amazing.

We must thank all the families who brought gifts to donate for bingo prizes! The activities director was sick today, but she will be so surprised to see the donations from Premier. Thank you for your generosity.

Finally, thanks to all the moms, dads, coaches and team members who helped push the wheelchairs into the dining room. We so appreciated your help!

Even though it was wet and rainy outside, the feeling of happiness and warmth filled the room inside. We were very proud of the girls and we know they made a lot of seniors smile! That's what the season is all about after all.

*Our next Heart Adventure is next Friday, Dec. 9th at Station Middle School for Barrington Giving Day set up. This Heart Adventure is from 3:00- 5:30. (Youth girls may arrive after school gets out). Any parents who would like to stay and assist in
setting up toys, just send us an email and let us know!

Lock-In Wrap Up

Dear Parents,

Thank you to every one who was able to make the Lock-In and for all the delicious treats provided! For those of you who were not able to make it, we MISSED you!!! The evening was filled with skits, dancing, games, ALOT of laughing, and plenty of
food! The girls loved having free reign of the Fieldhouse, especially being able to dominate the football field!

Along with all the fun, we had a sharing circle that ended up being one of the most touching parts of the evening. We had a very open discussion about bullying. It was heartbreaking to hear girl after girl share their own personal experience with this
mean behavior, or the story of someone they knew who had endured such cruel interactions.

One of the gifts that came about from this open sharing is that for many, the realized they weren't so alone. It also raised such an awareness on our team, that the girls made a promise to help one another, stand beside one another, and to take a proactive approach if they witnessed any bullying behavior.

It was such an empowering moment of true sisterhood, and we are so proud of the passionate and sensitive hearts that have blessed Premier.

We encourage you to talk to your child about what was shared, as we all need to have our eyes wide open to this very real epidemic. Please let us know if there is ever a situation that we can be supportive or helpful with in regards to your daughter. We want Premier to be a safe and encouraging place for the girls to land, and want nothing more than each child to feel empowered and supported.

Premier Poms Experience ~ Barrington Homecoming Parade!

We are excited to participate in the Barrington High School Homecoming Parade on Saturday, Sept. 24th. This is our first appearance in this parade and we are happy for the opportunity as our first Heart Adventure of the season. As a reminder, Heart Adventures are optional however, if you are in town we hope you will come, the more participation we have, the more fun it is for all! We will be meeting at 9:30 at the Barrington Train Station parking lot and the parade will start promptly at 10:15. It should only be about an hour long. More details to follow as it gets closer. IF you know you will not be attending, please let us know.

We are so happy that our season has finally begun! Even though for many it was the first week of school, everyone came with positive attitudes and terrific energy. The addition of the technique class has already proven to be a great addition to our program.

We had such a fun time with our Youth Team yesterday!! There was dancing, games, personal and team goal setting, water balloons (of course), pizza and alot of laughs! Thank you to everyone who came and contributed to all the fun at the 3rd Annual Premier Poms Picnic! The girls were kept busy painting hope notes, journaling, making name and door tags for camp, tossing water balloons, voting on a name for their team mascots, meeting their Big and Little Sisters, dancing, hoola hooping and eating all the delicious goods everyone brought!

We are so excited about our three teams and feel that this year is going to be especially incredible! And in a matter of weeks we will be adding our first ever 3rd grade class to Premier!!! Please let us know if you know anyone who is interested!

Family Picnic Tomorrow!

We are looking forward to seeing you tomorrow at the Family Picnic! Please drop off your daughter at 3:00pm, making sure she brings a water bottle and is wearing comfortable clothing ~ its supposed to be a hot one! We will be outside the entire time so if your daughter needs sunblock/bug spray please have it applied before she comes. The girls will be doing some art, some journaling, playing some games, dancing and participating in team bonding activities. They will also be meeting their Big/Little Sisters! We are still waiting for a few more items to arrive but we will be handing out the uniforms tomorrow as well!

Dear Parents and Premier Girls,

Wow, what a night! We were so grateful the rain held off so Relay could go on as planned. It was heartwarming to see so many, young and old, participating in such a positive community effort. Thank you to those who brought food, snacks and water for our team. Thank you for those of you who bought lumineria to honor those who have had cancer. Thanks to those who brought cupcakes for the cupcake tower- it was a success. Finally thanks to those who donated to the cause and walked laps around the track to remember and support family members, friends, neighbors and strangers who have dealt with cancer. We were proud Premier Poms participated in Relay for Life. The event raised $250,000.00 for the American Cancer Society!

Heart Adventure ~ Relay for Life

Hello Premier Poms Families,

I am proud to announce the 1st Heart Adventure of the year! Please remember that Heart Adventures are optional. If it works in your schedule, great! If you are busy, no problem. (When we have a performance opportunity Heart Adventure, we hope most girls will try to be there if at all possible! The routines look best when all the girls are present!)

This Heart Adventure is a - volunteer, giving back to the community and showing our support - Heart Adventure. It is very moving and worthwhile. Many families have been touched by cancer in one way or another and that is why this Heart Adventure is so special. It gives us an opportunity to share our C2 caring side which is very important in our program.

I am sure you have all seen the many packets going around about the up coming "Relay For Life" here in Barrington which will take place on the track at BHS. As our first Heart Adventure we would like to have a team to show our support with our amazing Premier Poms girls.

We are not asking you to raise money. We will have a table set up while the uniform fittings are going on. We will have information regarding the sale of Lumineria bags instead. It is a wonderful event if you have not had the opportunity to participatein the past.

The event starts at 6 PM. If you are joining us, we ask that you meet us just outside the football field entrance on the right. If you would like to wear Purple or Premier clothing, that would be great! Bring a jacket in case it gets cool!

The senior and junior team girls may be dropped off and pick up time will be 10:30 PM.
We ask that the youth team member each have a chaperone.

There will be many events taking place. The survivor lap will kick it off and then there will be music and singing and a flash mob dance routine which I will be
learning tonight and will show the team. It is very simple and if you have never seen it done it is amazing!!!

The concept of Relay for Life is to have some members of the team walk the track all the time. Because Cancer never sleeps! We will have a place set up for our team to "hang out" and the evening will end with the lighting of the Lumineria bags. Another amazing and emotional event!

We are hoping you will be able to make it, the whole family or just your beautiful daughter. It is a community event and this year promises to be unbelievable!

Meet Coach Heather

Heather Bilbrey is a graduate of the University of Kansas. She graduated with a Bachelor of General Studies in Psychology. She has over 20 years of dance experience, including training in ballet, jazz, hip hop, modern, pointe, tap, musical theatre, contemporary, and lyrical. Heather studied dance under some of the most respected teachers in the University of Kansas Dance Department during her four years in college. Growing up, she studied at St. Charles School of Dance, Ruth Page Foundation School of Dance in Chicago, and the Broadway Dance Center in New York. She found her love of dance at an early age when started performing at age six in numerous dance competitions and, notably, in the Chicago Tribune Charities production of The Nutcracker at Arie Crown Theatre. She's received multiple scholarships, including several from the CNADM convention.

In high school, Heather was on her competitive dance team all four years. She made varsity as a freshman and continued on to be co-captain her junior year and captain/choreographer her senior year. As the leader of her team, she choreographed multiple pom, kick, and dance routines, while teaching the values of being on a teamthrough team building. She currently continues her love of teaching through being a member of the Star Performance Company. As a member of this elite staff, Heather conducts numerous summer camps each summer for high school and junior high school dance teams. This experience takes her from neighboring schools, to Indiana, St. Louis, and even as far as Tampa Bay, Florida. During these camps each summer,Heather choreographs and teaches pom, kick, jazz, and hip hop routines whilefocusing on team unity as a whole with the girls.

Heather is excited to be able to be a part of the Premier Poms Experience this year and can't wait to share her love of dancing and teaching with all of the girls during the upcoming season!

BULL'S GAME ! ! ! !

We had a GREAT time watching both teams perform at the BULL's GAME! Everyone danced their hearts out! It's a pretty intimidating environment but the girls were naturals out there center stage, smiling like rock stars! Way to go P.P.E. (Thank you to Casey and the Luvabulls for all your support!) And what a game to be at ~ It was the twentieth anniversary of their first NBA championship so we were treated to some very special appearances from former players. It was so nice being able to celebrate the end of the year with all the parents, friends, and families. THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS NIGHT SO INCREDIBLE!!!

Last night was our final practice, and now it's time to celebrate, with the performance at the Bull's Game on Saturday, and the Family Banquet on Sunday. Tuesday we will be having our end of the year showcase and food drive event at the Lake Barrington Field House, please come and join the fun!

It's hard to believe this season has come to an end.... Everyone worked so hard, and showed such support throughout the year..
A thousand thank you's wouldn't be enough to express our gratitude and appreciation for our Premier Family. We will miss everyone so very much but we know it won't be long until we will meet again as we get ready for our third year with P.P.E!

We are so very proud of our teams and their performances at the recent Badgerette Competition. Once again, the girls were recognized for their spirit, their beautiful hearts and.... were awarded the Badgerette Spirit Heart Award!!!!! CONGRATS!!!!!!

We have always said that is the heart that matters most, and it's so wonderful for us to see you girls living this so fully!

We have a few more fun events coming up, including the performance at the Bull's Game in a couple weeks!!!

Meet Coach Megan!

Megan Ulmanis is a senior at Cary Grove High school. She has been on the pom squad there for four years. In high school she is also involved in choir, service groups, has participated in pageants. She has been dancing for 14 years and has a true passion for it. She has taken classes consisting of ballet, jazz, hip hop, pointe, tap, and swing choir. In her free time she enjoys teaching a religious education class and has been coaching a jr. Trojans Pom squad for the last 3 years. She is also a nanny for two families and absolutely loves children. She looks forward to having a great first session with a wonderful group of girls.

Congrats To Our Premier Girls for their OUTSTANDING performances at the TDY Midwest Championships! The Youth Team stole the show with their fabulous pom and hip hop routines and the Junior Team walked away with a second place trophy for Poms and a first place trophy for Kick!

As usual , we were so proud by your sportsmanship, your support for one another, and your energetic and sparkling attitudes!

We have always told you that each of you hold hundreds of trophies in our hearts just for being who you are,
but it was really nice to see you recognized for all of your hard work this weekend!

On behalf of Jen, Michele, Amanda, Katie and Deanna, I would like to say Happy New Year!!! We hope you all had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed your break! We look forward to seeing everyone at practice tomorrow, we have missed you all!!!!!

We are excited about all the fun things coming up this month for Premier. Our competition on Jan 16th in Wauconda is around the corner. Each team will be performing 2 routines at this venue. It is essential to have excellent attendance in order to prepare for this competition so please make every effort to be at practice! The youth team will be finishing up the hip hop routine and seniors will be finalizing their kick routine and making a few changes to their poms routine. The seniors will also be learning their final routine, hip hop, so please be at practice and on time! We are counting on you girls! Reminder: Jan 29th competition has been canceled by Badgerette. We will still be competing at their Final competition of the season on FEB. 27th.

Here is the scoop for the LOCK IN this FRIDAY night at the Field House: PLEASE RSVP!!!!

We are going to have so much fun!!!! The girls LOVED it last year and this year we are including the YOUTH team as well!!!!! (If you would prefer, you may choose to do a HALF sleep over and pick your daughter up early, please let us know if you are choosing this option AHEAD of time). This is a fun, low key, team bonding experience that was a highlight for the girls last year!!!! We will do a little practicing, but mostly we'll be having a fun evening of team bonding, games ,laughing and eating .....and hopefully sleeping!!!!!

Please arrive at 8 PM wearing your practice shorts, premier t shirt or Pink Premier t shirt and your JAZZ SHOES! NO Bare Feet please!
Please bring:
sleeping bag
pillow
PJ's
water bottle
toothbrush and toothpaste
any cuddly toy you would like to sleep with
FINALLY, a random item of your choice to be used for the paper bag skits! (examples from last year: bucket, jump rope, stuffed animal, goggles, megaphone, scrubs,gloves, silly hat, wig, apron...you get the idea). The girls will break into teams
and will be presented with items in a bag and they must work together to come up with a skit bases on the random items in their bag) SHHH, KEEP YOUR ITEM A SECRET.... SO MUCH FUN and LAUGHTER...the girls LOVED this last year!

In case your daughter is new to the lock in, we all sleep in the same area together, our activities are all together, so girls are not all over the field house. Last year, we slept in the gathering space where we had the parent meeting.

You may be familiar with the popular book for children, The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition by Carole Aebersold and Chanda B. Bell. The seasonalfavorite is No. 3 on the USA TODAY best-selling books list. Based on a family game Aebersold began in the 1970s, the rhymed and illustrated story tells how Santa knows who is naughty or nice because he sends an elf scout to every home. The elf watches by day then reports back to Santa each night. Since 2005, some 1.5 million copies of the book along with a toy elf have been sold to families throughout theworld. The whimsical tale is a testament to the lasting power of a simple customthat can be passed from one generation to the next.

In the Barrington area, there are many traditions big and small that represent the generosity of our area – traditions that are shared from generation to generation. For example, last weekend Barrington Giving Day once again provided winter coats,hats, gloves, books, blankets, toys and food to more than 1,000 families and 2,500 children in the Barrington 220 School District.

Remarkably, Giving Day is an institution dating to the 1930s in the Barrington area, one that grandparents, parents, children and grandchildren all participatein together. The bighearted donations of so many students, staff and theirfamilies make Giving Day an annual holiday effort we proudly host at the Barrington Middle School-Station Campus. To those who participated in some way,thank you for your support. If any elves on the shelves were watching throughout Barrington Giving Day, several names would be penned in the Nice List Santa supposedly keeps this time of year, especially those of Pat Karon and J.P. Hills,the event organizers in the classic holiday movie ELF, there is a scene where Buddy the elf, played by Will Ferrell, helps Santa restore power to his sleigh using the book of Naughty and Nice names to convince, renew and inspire belief in the magic of this season.Similarly, Barrington Giving Day is enough each year to instill faith in the charity of this school district toward its neediest members. It certainly made a believer out of me when I saw students, parents, staff and community members giving their time and resources to help so many.
As we begin two weeks of a well-deserved winter break, I hope you will honor the conventions of family time, good food and generous presents for each other.Barrington Giving Day models that commitment; now it compels us to pass the
promise along with a spirit of compassion and kindness. Giving often leads to laughter, so my holiday gift to you is this new video produced by our talented BHS TV students to spoof and honor the Will Ferrell movie, ELF. Just be careful your humorous response does not become too raucous. There may be an Elf on the Shelf who is watching nearby.

Heart Adventure at Alden Estates

First of all, thanks to all of the girls who came to Alden Estates of Barrington this morning through cold and windy weather...no last minute cancellations, parents, you are the best! Despite our small performance area, the girls entertained the elderly, their parents and Alden staff members with energy and lots of big smiles. The Christmas caroling was adorable and thanks to Mrs. Albrecht for stepping in off the cuff, towards the end, to lead the girls in an amazing round of Silent Night, Oh Come all Ye Faithful and We Wish You A Merry Christmas! We saw residents singing along, tapping their feet, clapping and smiling. This is so heart warming to ua.... to see our girls bring happiness to the elderly in a nursing home during the Christmas season, is what this time of year is all about. After the sing along, the girls passed out home made decorations for resident's rooms and greeting cards full of well wishes. They were all so grateful and appreciated our visit very much.

This was such a Heart Adventure weekend full of giving, sharing and helping those who need it most. We appreciate our Premier girls so much. They continue to shine in many ways and it makes us so proud!

The Wishing Jar, and why I love P.P.E...

One of our favorite heart adventure activities, is to create a "wishing jar" for someone special. A wishing jar is filled with wishes, prayers, positive affirmations, notes of hope and love. We are always blown away by the collective kindness and compassion the girls are able to provide.

This past week, the teams presented me with a wishing jar, and it completely melted my heart. The P.P.E girls wrote the dearest, sweetest, funniest, and most caring messages to me. . . And as I read each little note at the kitchen table that evening, I just cried with such a deep appreciation for P.P.E and all who a part of this great big family.

Columbus Day Parade 2010

Here is the scoop you've been waiting for regarding the Columbus day Parade:

We are planning on taking the train downtown from Fox River Grove Train station. If you care to join us that is great! If you choose to hop on at the Barrington stop, just walk through the cars and sit with us!!! We will leave either the 9:11 and 10:11 train. We will send a follow up email regarding which time this weekend.

Once downtown, last year the girls went to the bathroom and grabbed a donut/bagel in the station before we headed out to the parade route.
We took cabs so please bring cab money!

The parade floats etc are at Balboa and Columbus Drive. We will find out float and hang out until the float starts to leave. The parade will start at 12:30 and end at 2:30. It will proceed down Columbus Drive between Balbo and Randolph.

After the parade, we would love for you to join us at Club Lago (corner of Superior and Orleans) for a Heart Adventure Italian meal together!
Guido and Gian Carlo Nardini, the owners of this fabulous joint, put together a meal which would include:

Now that school and practice are in full swing, we know that the days are full of lots of activities and lots of running around!
We appreciate all of you getting to practice on time and being ready to roll at 4:30. Please remember to have your daughter dressed in their practice uniform and to bring a water bottle .

The girls are doing great learning their routines! We are so proud of the way they are listening to their coaches and trying hard to do their best! We also love how respectful they are being towards one another and with the staff at the field house.

Deanna Murphy ~ Manager and Coach
Deanna brings a ton of experience and a whole lot of heart to Premier Poms Experience. From the very beginning, Deanna has been an important part of our family and we are so appreciative of all her help and enthusiastic support.
Deanna's background includes: Former Luvabull Cheerleader, Former Chicago Bruiser Cheerleader (Arena Football), and a Gymnastics Teacher at Kids in Action. She volunteers at North Barrington Elementary School, and is on various committees with the PTO. Deanna is passionate about working with kids and providing experiences that build self esteem. She is thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of Premier Poms and we are equally thrilled to have her!

Deanna and her husband live in Barrington and have two amazing daughters, Kelsey and Samantha.

P.P.E Welcomes Coach Katie!

Katie is a recent graduate from Augustana College
in Rock Island, IL. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in
Secondary Education, Biology. At college and for her entire
life she has been extremely involved with extracurricular
activities, specifically through dancing, acting, and singing.
During her four years at Augustana she was an active
member of the Vikettes Dance Team as well as captain her
senior year. Through this dance experience, she
choreographed many hip-hop, jazz, poms, and kick routines,
managed the team financially, provided team-building
activities, led a summer dance camp, and facilitated all practices.

During her student teaching, she was also an assistant
coach for a high school dance team. When home during
the summer, she worked for the Elk Grove Park District in
choreographing for their summer theatre program
productions. In addition, she was a choreographer and
theatre camp counselor for Schaumburg On Stage
Theatre Company where she choreographed many
dance routines for the musical, High School Musical.

In high school, Katie was on the competitive dance
team for all four years and was captain her senior year.
She competed with jazz, jazz dance, pom dance, and
hip-hop routines and went to the state competition all
four years. She also performed at all home football
and basketball games. Katie also had the opportunity
to perform in the Chicago Thanksgiving Day Parade.
Throughout high school, Katie participated in many
musical productions through Schaumburg On Stage
including Annie, Anything Goes, Grease, Joseph and
the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Footloose.
Proceeding high school, Katie danced at Dorothy’s
Dancing Unlimited since the age of five with tap, jazz,
ballet, theatre, and hip-hop.

Katie has a passion for dance and performing. She is
excited that graduating college does not mean that
she will never dance again! She is thrilled to work
with all the girls and for a great season!

P.P.E Welcomes Coach Amanda!

Amanda is a graduate from Hope College in Holland, MI.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry and hopes to continue on to physical therapy school in the near future. At Hope, she was very involved in the Hope Pom Team, serving as captain for two and a half years. As captain, Amanda provided leadership and direction for the dance team, managed the budget, choreographed dances, and ran all practices. Each summer, she was responsible for a week long dance camp that involved learning routines, technique and conditioning practices, and team building events each night.

The Hope Pom Team is also actively involved in the College's annual Dance
Marathon, a fundraiser for the Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand
Rapids, MI. Amanda served one year as the team's representative for the
Marathon, and planned events with the team's miracle child, Tatianna,
organized fundraisers, and choreographed a routine to perform with Tatianna
at the Marathon.

Starting when she was 5, Amanda studied dance at the Pavilion Dance Center. She studied ballet, pointe, tap, jazz, and lyrical. She also participated in various summer dance camps and danced for several years as part of competition dance troupe. Her poms experience began in junior high, when she danced on the school team for a year. In high school, Amanda spent two years on the JV Grenadetttes at Elk Grove High School and two years on the Varsity Grenadettes, serving as a co-captain her senior year. Amanda helped choreograph the Pom/Dance routine her senior year, which qualified for super sectionals.

Amanda is thrilled to be able to continue with poms after college, and is looking forward to another fun and successful year at P.P.E.

Your waivers need to be signed and returned by Thurs 3/4

All team members need to report at 5:30pm;
enter at Gate 3 on North Side of Building. Gate 3 opens at 5:30pm
Please be dressed and ready to go in your Purple Pom Uniform with bow and hair up and off your face in a high pony! Use hairspray! All performers need to have their ticket in hand.
There are NO LOCKER ROOMS for us to change clothes.
Youth team: wear your hats.
Senior team: wear your silver hoodie.
We will be doing both of our fantastic routines in our Purple Poms Uniforms.
We perform right after one another from 6:30-6:45.

Wear your warm up and Infinity white shoes to the game
(Yes, you may wear your shoes out side).
No duffle bags are allowed….see Group Advisory flyer from this week’s email.

We will escort our girls to their parents in our reserved sections after our performance.

Thank you for working extra hard at practice on Tuesday! We love how much support and encouragement you show to one another and we are always blown away with how much you shine. You girls are the best!

This is our last competition on Sunday, so let's make it our best. "Best" to us means, having a ton of fun, demonstrating the C2 spirit,
(we ALWAYS notice the support you show for other teams and the compliments you give to others! this is what makes you girls so very special..) and putting forth your very best effort and remembering that we love you and are so proud of you...

Some very important things have been emailed to your parents regarding this weekend. This includes directions, schedules, hotel options if you would like to come up the night before, and the release forms. There are specific details regarding when and where you are to show up, how you should be fully dressed and ready to roll, and how you must not leave valuables in your bags as we do not have a team room. If you need to have your cell phone in case you will be calling your parents afterwards to be picked up, we will hold it for you, otherwise, please leave everything else at home or with your family.

Once again, we are so very proud of our teams for how hard they worked it at Sunday's competition. We loved how you encouraged and supported one another, how you cheered on other teams, and how you didn't let anything get in the way from having fun and being positive. It took every bit of self control for us not to run out on the gym floor and high -five you for the way you lit up the entire place !

AND THEN, you turn right around and show up at the Hope for Bridget, Read-a-Thon! You came up with such beautiful ideas and such incredible ways to support Bridget...YOU showed so much LOVE and HOPE and ENCOURAGEMENT and POSITIVE ENEGRY!!! Words cannot even begin to explain what a difference you are making in this community and in the world. This is what matters most in life. Trophies will never measure how amazing you are! Experiences like this are what matters most in life, and YOU make them happen just by having such open hearts and minds...

You never cease to amaze and impress us...You have melted our hearts (again!)

Yesterday, both teams performed at their first TDI/TDY competition!

Before the teams even performed, we were already celebrating because of the way they were helping one another, encouraging one another, and telling other teams, "GOOD LUCK!" Premier girls really stand out in a crowd just by the way they carry themselves.

Their performances were wonderful! We could tell each team member was giving it their all, and their smiles alone lit up the gym....We were thrilled with how well they did!

The theme for TDI/TDY this year is "TRUE"...
And the truth is, we are proud of these girls both on and off the floor!

We want the girls to know how proud we were with their performances at the Family Fun and Fitness Fair last Sunday...They worked so hard and the smiles they wore lit up the entire place. We also noticed how supportive and encouraging they were to the other teams who were performing! This kind of positive energy is the essence of C2!

Last tuesday the girls had a GREAT practice ~ everyone really pulled together..We know that after a long day of school it's sometimes hard to gear up for practice, but these girls really show up with great attitudes and effort.

After practice, the junior team worked on making cards for children who are in the hospital. They wrote the most beautiful messages and decorated the cards with encouraging art work. We will be doing more of this after today's practice. We love the compassion these girls demonstrate.

Thanks to all of you who showed up on Sunday, we appreciate your ongoing support!

Lake Barrington Fun and Fitness Fair ~ NOV 8th, 12:00pm

Hello Parents and Premier Girls~

We have been invited to participate in the Lake Barrington Family Fun and Fitness Fair which will be held at the Lake Barrington Field House on Sunday, November, 8th from 12:00-2:00 PM. Yes, we initially had a competition scheduled for that day at the beginning of the season, but we are doing this instead. It will give the girls a chance to perform, have fun and have a little practice performing for an audience before we go to a competition.

The Family Fun and Fitness Fair will be the first in a series of health and welness initiatives the Village looks to offer Barrington area families. It will feature local health and fitness service providers and businesses, specialized health screenings, children's activities and crafts, live entertainment (including us!), education demonstrations by local polic and fire departments as well as tantalizing tastings (good, delicious healthy choices). It is expected to draw a crowd of 300!

We will meet at the Field House in full uniform at 11:30 AM. If you have any questions, feel free to email us.

If you have a conflict, please email us today! Our desire is to have every Premier girl participate in this fun opportunity to entertain our own Barrington crowd!

Yesterday after practice, the youth team did an activity centered around wishes and dreams...
We chatted about how sometimes those wishes can take a long time to come around, and how important it is not to give up on our dreams.
We also talked about the beauty of making wishes for others and carrying hope for another person.

After the girls wrote down their personal wishes and the wishes they had for others, they were folded up, sealed with a kiss and placed into the magical "Wishing Jar."

We can't tell you how dear and sweet these wishes were... So kind, so loving, so thoughtful...We are just so touched by the compassion these girls have and we feel so lucky we to have them be a part of our dream for Premier Poms.....

Badgerette Camp...There are so many stories to share and experiences to tell, that it would take days to convey all that happened. To make it short, we hit the jackpot. The staff at Badgerette carried the same mindset and integrity that we believe in and want to incorporate into P.P.E. These women were the best kind of role models for our girls and took such great care for each and every one. The girls learned so many new skills, not just in dance, but also in life lessons that will carry them throughout their years ahead.

It seemed like the entire time the three of us were either laughing (because it was so much fun), crying (because we were so touched by all the goodness), or shaking our heads in bewilderment (because we cannot believe we are a part of something so incredible).

To say we are proud of your daughters just doesn't seem to cut it. . These girls made our hearts burst with the kindness they showed, the hard work they accomplished, their positive attitudes, and willingness to encourage and assist one another. To see a brand new team perform so beautifully, and convey the C2 mindset with such grace, was like watching something amazing bloom right before our eyes.

Something seriously wonderful was sparked within our team this past week....

Heart Adventure ~ Feed My Starving Children

Hard to believe we are already into the month of July! Our next Heart Adventure is on July 22. We will be volunteering at Feed My Starving Children. We are scheduled for the time slot of 9:30am - 11:30am at the Aurora location. We have reserved 40 spots for this event and F.M.S.C are counting on us to help.

Heart Adventure Great America ~ A Walk In The Park

Dear families of Premier Poms Experience,

You are invited to participate in "A WALK IN THE PARK" at Great America to help raise money for pediatric cancer treatments. This optional, but sure to be fun, "HEART ADVENTURE" will take place on Saturday, June 27th at Six Flags Great America.

Please read this entire email for all the information.

Each participant's $10.00 fee (this is in addition to the entry ticket) will entitle you to a t-shirt, breakfast, cure kids cancer bracelet and gift bag. If you choose to raise $50.00 or more, you will get a free ticket for the day at Great America. Michele is working on a group rate for a ticket that is cheaper than the list price for a daily ticket, I believe somewhere around
35.00/ticket. Firm price will be emailed early next week. If you know you would like to join us, please click on the link highlighted in the body of the email and it will direct you to the Premier Poms Experience team site.
To join (if you are coming to walk with us as a team, before the park opens), just follow the prompts. We will be meeting very early at Great America probably between 7:00-7:30 am (the registration starts at 7:00am). If you have any further questions, please email us and we will try to answer your questions. One more important thing: Jen, Michele and Sue will be at this event but we will not be able to watch all the children personally. In other words, we love your child, but we will not be responsible for your daughter on this day!! Please come as a family, send a responsible babysitter to chaperone if you desire, or if you are sending your daughter without a parent/guardian/sitter you must let us know and make sure you make specific arrangements with your daughter for pick up from the park. We plan to meet for lunch as a team. Youth Team parents, obviously, you will need to be with your child at this event...just in case you were wondering! Families may leave when you so desire. There is not a firm ending time to this event as a team.
